Head of Technical Perfumery

About the role

As Head of Technical Perfumery in São Paulo, you will lead the industrialisation and maintenance of fragrance formulations for Givaudan’s diverse portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Technical Perfumery Americas, you will ensure business continuity, quality, and service level objectives while collaborating with global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Rework Givaudan portfolio fragrances across all end‑uses.
• Develop ingredient alternatives in line with new regulations.
• Support Quality Control on ingredient management.
• Share technical perfumery findings with the global perfumers community.
• Stay current with ingredients, regulations, and market trends.
• Partner with global functions to study and implement technical solutions.
• Assist the creative perfumery team on product service and technical projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience across categories with local and international customers.
• Strong customer‑service focus and ability to work independently and within a global team.
• Objective‑driven, result‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent command of English; experience abroad is a plus.

• Expertise in fragrance formulation and ingredient management.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance for fragrance ingredients.
• Ability to provide technical recommendations and solutions.
• Understanding of quality control, stability, supply‑chain, and operational processes.
