IT Office Support Consultant – Talent Pool

About the role

The Inter‑American Development Bank (IDB) is building a talent pool of qualified IT Office Support Consultants to staff current and future positions across its offices in Latin America and the Caribbean. Selected candidates will provide end‑user IT assistance to IDB personnel, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and connectivity tools.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line IT support to staff at IDB representations, covering desktops, laptops, mobile devices and collaboration platforms.
• Provision, configure and maintain standard workstations throughout their lifecycle in line with corporate standards.
• Maintain web‑conferencing equipment and ensure optimal performance for virtual meetings.
• Assist with the upkeep of networking, telecommunications, security systems and coordinate with local service providers.
• Support the rollout of new IT initiatives and act as a liaison between local users and central IT teams.
• Document incidents, service requests and updates in ticketing systems and produce regular operational reports.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in IT support or related customer‑service roles.
• Proficiency in English and at least one official IDB language (Spanish, French or Portuguese).
• Knowledge of AI and generative AI concepts and their ethical use is a plus.
