Junior Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join Experian Marketing Services’ global engineering team. In this role you will help design, build and maintain large‑scale systems that power our Graph products, working with data‑intensive applications and distributed architectures at petabyte scale.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, testing and maintenance of EMS Graph systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leads to deliver new features and platform improvements.
• Support the creation and upkeep of data pipelines, services and applications that process large‑scale datasets.
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality.
• Troubleshoot application and platform issues, identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Help improve system reliability, performance and operational excellence.
• Follow best practices for testing, version control and documentation.
• Participate in on‑call rotations as experience grows.

Required profile

• Professional software engineering experience gained through internships, co‑ops, academic projects or similar hands‑on work.
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals such as algorithms and data structures.
• Interest in building scalable, secure and privacy‑focused solutions.
