About the role

Sterlington PLLC is seeking a highly organized, tech‑savvy Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support a fast‑paced transactional aviation practice. This remote, independent‑contractor position focuses on preparing, formatting, and tracking complex deal documents.

Key responsibilities

• Format, revise, and finalize transactional documents using advanced Microsoft Word features.
• Break apart, organize, and manage appended and ancillary documents.
• Oversee document execution processes, including signature pages, execution versions, and closing sets.
• Manipulate PDFs in Adobe Acrobat (merge, split, bookmark, redact, convert).
• Convert documents to clean, execution‑ready versions.
• Maintain organized file structures in SharePoint and NetDocuments.
• Track deal flow and keep structured transaction records up to date.
• Respond promptly to ongoing deal activity and anticipate document needs.

Required profile

• Comfortable working in a high‑performance law‑firm environment.
• Process‑driven, technically proficient, and calm under deadline pressure.
• Highly reliable, structured, and able to manage multiple active transactions simultaneously.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Word (styles, formatting, document structuring).
• Strong Adobe Acrobat proficiency.
• Experience with SharePoint and NetDocuments document‑management systems.
