Maintenance Area Manager – Reliability Engineering

About the role

Amazon is seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Maintenance Area Manager to lead a team of technicians within its Reliability Maintenance Engineering group. The role focuses on safety, equipment availability and preventative maintenance across fulfillment centers in Brazil.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support and mentor a team of technicians, ensuring safe, standardised and efficient work practices.
• Implement and audit safety and statutory compliance programmes in partnership with Site Safety and leadership.
• Drive preventative maintenance programmes to maximise equipment availability for internal customers.
• Organise training and shift coverage to provide adequate technical support.
• Coordinate local projects and contribute to broader business‑review initiatives.
• Maintain a strong on‑site presence by working shifts alongside the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or Reliability Engineering.
• Proven experience with automated equipment such as packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems.
• Experience implementing safety standards and managing technical teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Windows operating systems.
• Intermediate level English communication skills.
