Manager, Global Strategic Sourcing

About the role

Metso is seeking a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing initiatives for its Grinding, Bulk, Pyro, and Smelting product groups. Based in York, PA, the role combines strategic planning with hands‑on supplier management to drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements across a global supply base.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies and procurement roadmaps for the assigned product groups.
• Build and optimise a competitive global supplier base aligned with cost, quality, delivery and growth objectives.
• Identify Best Cost Country opportunities and expand relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Lead negotiations, contracting and commercial discussions with strategic suppliers.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance on cost, quality, lead times, availability and sustainability.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, R&D, sales, proposal management and quality teams to align sourcing with business needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a track record of delivering cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, engineering, sales and quality stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel internationally (20‑30%) to engage with suppliers and Metso sites.
