Marine Claims Analyst

About the role

Join AIG as a Marine Claims Analyst and help manage risk for port operators and equipment owners. You will be part of a team that handles claims from initial notification through final settlement, ensuring compliance with AIG policies and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily claims for Port Operator and RD Equipment, from notification to final settlement within agreed authority levels.
• Analyze claim notifications and supporting documents provided by clients.
• Enter and monitor reserves for each claim.
• Supervise external service providers such as lawyers, accountants, adjusters, and regulators.
• Communicate with clients, service providers, and brokers to gather information, explain requirements and decisions.
• Collaborate closely with underwriters and distributors to deepen business knowledge and promote best practices.
• Provide claim reports to management, actuarial teams, and underwriters as needed.

Required profile

• Experience in claims handling with solid knowledge of port operator and equipment insurance.
• Higher education completed.
• Strong communication, organization, negotiation, analytical thinking, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to develop relationships with brokers and deliver excellent service.
