Mechanical Engineer – Design & Development of Industrial Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and industrial equipment. You will work with advanced 2D/3D engineering tools to create solutions that meet customer needs while adhering to strict technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical components, systems, and industrial equipment using CAD tools.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including calculations, specifications, and datasheets.
• Define technical solutions, materials, and configurations in compliance with standards such as ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3, NR12, NR13, and ABNT.
• Review vendor drawings and specifications to ensure quality and alignment with project requirements.
• Support procurement by performing technical evaluations and liaising with suppliers.
• Oversee fabrication processes and conduct shop inspections, especially for pressure vessels and related equipment.
• Participate in technical reviews and cross‑functional meetings to ensure proper project execution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardization initiatives within the engineering department.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools (2D/3D).
• Experience with static and rotating equipment (vessels, tanks, agitators, pumps, expansion joints, compensators, piping systems).
• Knowledge of engineering design, fabrication processes, and applicable technical standards (ASME BPVC Sections I, II, VIII; ASME B31.3; NR12; NR13; ABNT).
