Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join an innovative organization in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for the mechanical design of electronic systems throughout the full product life‑cycle, working with multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to product development and take technical responsibility for design planning, concept, and maturation through typical LCM phases.
• Provide technical expertise to concurrent projects and support legacy products, ensuring sound solutions and optimal business benefits.
• Design, develop and deliver new products while meeting cost‑time‑quality KPIs.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous professional development.
• Proactively improve processes, tools, and adopt new technologies or materials for competitive advantage.

Required profile

• Autonomous, self‑motivated and proactive with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of influencing internal and external customers.
• Ability to take full ownership of design tasks from concept through release.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electro‑Mechanical Engineering.

Required skills

• Mechanical system design, including detailed drawings.
• Electronic packaging, environmental thermal design and validation.
• Component selection (COTS items).
• Product Data Management (PDM) and SolidWorks Mechanical functionality.
• 3D printing, metallic and composite technologies.
• SolidWorks Electrical for cable/harness design and connector configuration.
• Understanding of FEA concepts and limitations.
• Knowledge of system‑engineering lifecycle (V‑model) and CAD‑CAM tools.
