Mechanical Engineer – Oil & Gas (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for an Engineer who can blend technical expertise with data‑driven analysis to solve complex challenges in the oil and gas sector. The role involves evaluating design, operational, testing, inspection and maintenance data to produce assessments, procedures and strategic recommendations that support client success and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Produce technical reports using available data and engineering knowledge.
• Define and execute project strategies, reviewing and approving work before issue.
• Support department and corporate management in delivering solutions to clients.
• Develop personal technical knowledge and mentor colleagues.
• Assist with compliance to QHSE policies and procedures.
• Contribute to business development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 2 years of professional engineering experience.
• Ability to interpret industry codes, standards and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Experience preparing clear, structured technical reports.
• Intermediate English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Familiarity with ASME and NACE standards is desirable.
• Database knowledge and experience in oil & gas, inspection or integrity management are a plus.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and eager to learn.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model (3 days onsite in Vargem Pequena).
