Mechanical Engineer – Product Development

About the role

Join AGCO’s engineering team in Brazil to lead the design and development of innovative agricultural equipment. You will be responsible for defining project requirements, coordinating development plans, and delivering high‑quality product launches that meet customer needs and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product development and new‑product‑introduction (NPI) execution from concept to launch.
• Design and validate mechanical solutions using 3D/2D modeling, laboratory, and field testing.
• Apply project‑management, engineering, and quality tools to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide technical documentation and support to Sales, Marketing, and Product Support teams.
• Manage cross‑functional interfaces with customers, manufacturing, quality, sales, and marketing.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain to select suppliers and balance cost, quality, and technical requirements.
• Define technical and agronomic validation criteria and lead field research to demonstrate product value.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience in product design, testing, and project management with strong field exposure.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drafting tools (CREO preferred).
• Solid understanding of the full product development lifecycle for mechanical, electronic, or machinery systems.
• Proven problem‑solving ability using structured root‑cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese.
