Mid-Level Python Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions using Python. The role is based in Brazil and involves working with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable systems and efficient data flows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications in Python, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance.
• Configure, deploy and support applications in production environments.
• Build and maintain system integrations via REST APIs, Webhooks and Kafka‑based event streams.
• Design, model, query, maintain and optimise PostgreSQL databases.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, engineering best practices, code quality and observability.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues proactively.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders throughout the software lifecycle.

Required profile

• Practical experience developing backend software with Python.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Kafka and Webhooks.
• Strong autonomy, investigative mindset and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Ability to understand systems holistically and work independently while collaborating effectively.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
