Mid-level Software Engineer – Core Banking

About the role

EBANX is looking for a mid‑level software engineer to join its Core Banking team. You will help build and operate scalable, high‑throughput services that power millions of global transactions across the fintech payments platform.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain production‑ready Java code, preferably using Spring Boot.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate to improve system design and code quality.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise services in production using observability tools (metrics, logs, traces).
• Contribute to internal tooling that enhances developer experience and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams such as Product, Risk, Finance, and Business.
• Help improve system monitoring, alerting, and incident‑response practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and maintaining backend software in production environments.
• Strong understanding of core software engineering concepts (data structures, APIs, concurrency, persistence).
• Willingness to learn and work with observability and platform‑related topics.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
