About the role

Join a fast‑moving commodity trading house in Shanghai as a Middle Office analyst. You will gain hands‑on experience in physical commodity trading and supply‑chain management while working with a diverse, international team of industry experts.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across global offices, including Trading Desks, Finance Specialists and external stakeholders.
• Negotiate and execute international trade agreements.
• Manage financial operations such as payment processing and exposure monitoring.
• Coordinate global logistics across maritime, rail and road transport networks.
• Execute strategic hedging operations and pricing mechanisms in volatile markets.
• Maintain accurate systems and identify process‑optimisation opportunities.

Required profile

• Professional fluency in English and Mandarin, with additional fluency in French and/or Spanish.
• Recent university degree (any discipline) with up to four years of work experience.
• Strong attention to detail, strategic decision‑making and organisational abilities.
• Ability to stay composed under pressure and deliver results.
• Willingness to be globally mobile and pursue a career in commodity trading.
