Payroll Specialist Brazil

About the role

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist with solid experience in Brazilian payroll processes. The role is responsible for accurate payroll administration, ensuring compliance with labor, tax and social security regulations while providing high‑quality support to employees and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute monthly payroll runs, including salaries, benefits, taxes, vacation payments and terminations.
• Perform payroll audits and analyses to guarantee accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Manage employee lifecycle transactions such as hires, terminations and leaves of absence.
• Maintain relationships with payroll service providers and vendors, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Support internal and external audits and develop HR/payroll metrics and KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process simplification and continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance and support to employees, managers and HR business partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience in payroll and personnel administration within Brazil.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian labor legislation, eSocial and statutory reporting obligations.
• Experience managing payroll vendors and processing payroll taxes.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical mindset.
• Intermediate to advanced English is an advantage.
