About the role

The Researcher II will lead field and plant‑house activities for the introgression of traits and seed production within BASF's Seeds & Traits business in Trindade, Brazil. The position is essential for delivering project milestones on schedule and supporting the development of innovative solutions for cotton and soybean crops.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute field trials and plant‑house experiments for trait introgression.
• Oversee seed production processes from planting to harvest.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and stewardship requirements.
• Collect, analyze and report experimental data to support product development.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including genetics, breeding and agronomy.

Required profile

• University degree in Plant Genetics, Plant Breeding, Agronomy or a related field; postgraduate studies are desirable.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Experience in seed production, field trials and plant‑house management.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage project timelines.
