Process and Project Engineer

About the role

The Process and Project Engineer improves production processes, supports technology transfers and introduces new products while ensuring safety, cost efficiency and product quality. The role is based onsite in Itatiba, Brazil, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical and economic studies for new product implementation, evaluating capacity, process conditions and investment needs.
• Prepare cost analyses and propose alternatives to improve contribution margins of existing products.
• Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and HAZOP studies and ensure compliance with EHS objectives.
• Provide root‑cause analysis support for non‑conformities, process instabilities and customer complaints.
• Oversee installation, testing and start‑up of new machinery and equipment.
• Support technology transfer activities and develop SOPs for safe operation.
• Lead continuous‑improvement and CAPEX projects using Lean and structured problem‑solving methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial process engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Demonstrated project‑management experience and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Process safety principles, PHA and HAZOP studies.
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous‑improvement tools (5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, statistical analysis).
• CAPEX project planning and execution.
• Silicone manufacturing processes.
