About the role

Caterpillar is seeking a Product Engineer to lead the concept, architecture, and integration of new products, components, and technologies. You will work within a global team focused on sustainable, innovative solutions for construction and mining equipment.

Key responsibilities

Research and develop design parameters, performance characteristics, and technical specifications for new products and components.
Guide technical design evolution, project planning, performance analysis, and development testing.
Participate in supplier selection and capability assessments.
Monitor, explore, and test emerging technologies, materials, and components for improvement opportunities.
Construct and fabricate prototype equipment, overseeing material selection, process optimization, yield, reliability testing, and failure analysis.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including marketing, purchasing, and manufacturing.
