Project Manager – Governance, Rule of Law & Peacebuilding

About the role

The Project Manager will support the Governance, Rule of Law and Peacebuilding (GRP) Hub within UNDP’s Global Policy Network. The role leads local‑action initiatives that integrate democratic governance, human rights and crisis response to advance the Sustainable Development Goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement projects that strengthen governance, rule of law and peacebuilding at local and regional levels.
• Coordinate with local governments, NGOs, and UN partners to align activities with UNDP strategic objectives.
• Manage project budgets, timelines and reporting mechanisms, ensuring compliance with UNDP policies.
• Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, producing analytical reports for senior management.
• Facilitate capacity‑building workshops and knowledge‑sharing events for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in public policy, international development, law, or a related field.
• Several years of experience managing development projects, preferably in governance or peacebuilding contexts.
• Strong understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals and their implementation at sub‑national levels.
• Proven experience working with government agencies, civil society and multilateral partners.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
