R&D Manager – Automotive Innovation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced R&D Manager to lead the development of cutting‑edge automotive products and technologies for our Omoda & Jaecoo brand. You will oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept through validation to production, ensuring that new vehicle systems meet performance, safety and market expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage automotive R&D projects from idea to series production.
• Develop new components, vehicle systems and technologies aligned with business strategy.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, define timelines, budgets and technical specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies, testing, validation and performance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with automotive regulations, safety standards and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing teams and external partners.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor technologies and emerging innovations.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and executive updates for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s or MBA a plus).
• Proven experience in automotive R&D, product development or vehicle engineering.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, manufacturing processes and industry standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex engineering projects.
• Fluent English proficiency.
