Regional Director – South America

About the role

The company, a global engineering and technical services provider, is seeking a Regional Director to lead and expand its operations across South America, starting with Brazil. This senior executive role will shape the regional strategy, drive operational excellence, and build strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all operational activities across South America, with an initial focus on Brazil.
• Provide strategic direction for project execution, profitability, and regional growth.
• Manage multiple technical projects while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.
• Develop and lead multidisciplinary teams including operations, technical staff, SHEQ, HR, and support functions.
• Own regional budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and operational KPIs.
• Build and maintain relationships with major energy, offshore, marine, and industrial clients.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on long‑term strategy and expansion plans.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and support business development with operational input.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Master's/MBA highly desirable).
• 10+ years of executive or senior operational leadership experience in engineering, technical services, offshore energy, marine, or industrial sectors.
• Proven experience managing P&L, budgets, forecasting, and operational performance.
• Strong leadership of large technical teams and multiple concurrent projects.
• Track record of improving operational efficiency while maintaining high client satisfaction.
• Experience working with major energy, offshore, marine, or industrial clients throughout South America.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
