Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager

About the role

Amazon is seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager to lead a team of technicians in its Brazil fulfillment network. You will ensure safety, equipment availability, and continuous improvement of automated warehouse systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and coach a team of technicians, promoting safe, standardised and efficient work practices.
• Collaborate with the wider technical network to develop solutions and share expertise.
• Support the Reliability Engineering Manager in implementing, recording and auditing safety and statutory compliance programmes.
• Drive preventative maintenance programmes to achieve high equipment availability for internal customers.
• Organise and direct training to guarantee sufficient technical coverage for all shifts.
• Plan and execute local projects or assist with Brazil‑level initiatives as assigned.
• Work on shift schedules to stay connected with daily operational needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• Hands‑on experience with automated equipment such as packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems.
• Proven track record implementing safety and compliance measures in an industrial environment.
