Remote Web Developer (WordPress)

About the role

This is a hands‑on remote position focused on building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress‑based websites and landing pages for a diverse client portfolio. You will work closely with a lead developer and contribute to front‑end development, site customization, and performance improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and modify WordPress sites using child themes and modern front‑end practices.
• Create and optimize lead‑generation landing pages.
• Ensure responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility across devices.
• Troubleshoot common WordPress issues such as layout errors, white screens, and plugin conflicts.
• Perform basic server and hosting tasks in WHM/cPanel environments.
• Collaborate with the lead developer and internal team to deliver high‑quality client solutions.
• Support website deployment, migration, and backup processes.
• Communicate with clients and team members to coordinate updates and resolve technical requests.

Required profile

• 1‑2+ years of hands‑on WordPress development experience (excluding WordPress.com).
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript at an intermediate level.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and research solutions independently.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross‑device testing.
• Experience with WHM/cPanel hosting environments.
• Proactive, self‑driven mindset with good problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills in English and/or Spanish.
• Reliable remote work setup (internet, computer, etc.).
