Senior Accountant – Remote (Brazil)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to work remotely from Brazil, supporting high‑value Australian clients in property development and other sectors. The role combines technical accounting, tax compliance, and client advisory within a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
• Compile profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and depreciation schedules.
• File income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and superannuation funds.
• Review client accounting records in MYOB, QuickBooks, and Xero to produce accurate management reports.
• Provide advice on Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), GST and Division 7A loan requirements.
• Conduct company searches and prepare dividend resolutions.
• Support compliance for complex property development projects, including land subdivisions and GST margin scheme calculations.
• Manage multiple client engagements while meeting strict deadlines and quality standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of tax‑compliance accounting experience within an Australian accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements.
• Proven ability to prepare financial statements and tax returns for diverse entity types.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
