Senior Direct Tax Analyst

About the role

The Senior Direct Tax Analyst will ensure full compliance with Brazilian tax regulations, providing daily tax support and review for the Tax team. Working in a hybrid setting, the analyst will collaborate with tax partners and cross‑functional groups such as logistics, supply chain, procurement, and legal.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to continuous improvement of tax processes and controls.
• Maintain and review direct tax records for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare, file, and manage PER/DCOMP claims.
• Identify, execute, and manage tax risks and opportunities.
• Interpret changes in corporate income tax, Pis & Cofins, CBS, and withholding tax legislation and recommend actions.
• Prepare impact assessments for operational or structural changes.
• Monitor the Tax Authority’s ECAC inbox and resolve related appointments.
• Assist with tax audits by gathering data and drafting responses.
• Monitor renewal of tax clearance certificates (CND) at federal, state, and municipal levels.
• Support business initiatives by identifying compliance requirements and mitigating risks.
• Participate in special projects such as system upgrades related to tax compliance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in Brazilian direct tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, Pis & Cofins, CBS, and withholding taxes.
• Proven ability to work with tax authorities and handle audit inquiries.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on risk mitigation and process improvement.
