Senior Engineer, Consumer Profile Services

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the Consumer Profile Services platform. The role focuses on building and evolving systems that manage consumer identity and profile data across the company’s digital ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices and APIs within the Consumer Profile domain.
• Define clear service boundaries, data models, and interaction patterns for distributed systems.
• Drive architectural decisions that improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to platform modernization and data migration initiatives.
• Build high‑performance Java/Spring Boot services in a cloud‑native environment.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD pipelines, automation, observability and DevOps.
• Own services end‑to‑end, designing for failure and ensuring operational resilience.
• Participate in incident response and use production learnings to refine system design.
• Collaborate with identity, commerce, loyalty and data teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Work with product, security and privacy teams to ensure compliant architecture.
• Act as a technical leader, guiding design decisions and influencing architecture.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews and hands‑on collaboration.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Proven experience designing and delivering microservices‑based solutions.
• Ability to lead technical decisions and influence architecture across teams.
• Strong collaboration skills with product, security and cross‑functional stakeholders.
