Senior Finance Systems Analyst – Clinical Solutions

About the role

The Senior Finance Systems Analyst supports the Clinical Solutions portfolio by providing strategic financial analysis, forecasting, and controls. The role focuses on project and portfolio health, linking operational performance to financial outcomes within a CRO environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own portfolio‑level financial analysis, including budget health, forecast accuracy, margin performance and risk identification.
• Lead financial oversight across the full project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices and internal controls.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs. forecast vs. budget) to identify drivers of change, scope creep and emerging risks.
• Partner with project finance teams to maintain data integrity for portfolio reporting.
• Monitor budget consumption, earned value indicators and change‑order impacts.
• Develop and maintain trial‑operations KPIs that connect operational metrics to financial results.
• Create scalable dashboards and analyses using Excel and Power BI for governance and executive review.
• Prepare and deliver executive‑ready presentations summarising performance, risks and recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in finance, accounting, business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project finance, preferably within a CRO or clinical‑services environment.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior operational leaders.
