Senior Financial Accountant (Natal, Brazil)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join Rivaz Resources in Natal, Brazil. The role will support our Brazilian entities by delivering accurate financial statements, managing month‑end and year‑end processes, and providing analysis that drives strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for Brazilian entities.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow projections.
• Analyse financial performance, identify variances and recommend actions to management.
• Support operational and strategic decision‑making through financial and commercial analysis.
• Prepare executive reporting packs, presentations and internal financial reports.
• Support group reporting, consolidation and statutory financial reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Brazilian accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Assist with audits, internal controls and continuous improvement of financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting designation (CRC required; CPA/CA equivalent is an asset).
• Significant experience in financial accounting and management reporting, preferably in mining, exploration or natural resources.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards, taxation and statutory reporting.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and cash‑flow management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, international environment.
• English language skills considered an asset.
