Senior Indirect Tax Analyst – Tax Compliance

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst to join Amazon’s Tax Compliance team in Brazil. In this role you will support complex tax closing activities, ensure accurate tax reporting, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver compliant tax solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support for tax closing activities related to ICMS, ICMS‑ST, IPI, PIS, COFINS, ISS and ancillary obligations such as CIAP, Gia, SPED‑Fiscal, GIS, EC, Inventory, Bloco K, EFD Contribuições, etc.
• Control tax credit balances and PERDCOMPS, ensuring proper offsetting of accumulated balances.
• Coordinate and execute tax compliance tasks, meeting company deadlines and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Accounting and other stakeholders to prepare calculation records, reconcile tax returns and verify accuracy.
• Participate in company projects, resolve tax‑related queries and propose effective tax solutions.
• Prepare basic reconciliations of transaction tax general ledger accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in a large public accounting firm or a multinational corporate tax department.
• Fluent in spoken, written and read English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (advanced).
• Transaction tax calculation software (e.g., Vertex).
