Senior Maintenance Manager – Reliability Engineering (Brazil)

About the role

Amazon is seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Senior Maintenance Manager to lead the Reliability Maintenance Engineering team at one of its Brazilian sites. The role is responsible for ensuring equipment availability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of technicians, own annual reporting, and mentor direct reports.
• Implement, record, and audit Amazon and statutory safety and environmental compliance programs.
• Partner with recruitment to fill headcount, including apprentices and graduates.
• Apply global engineering standards locally and contribute to network‑wide improvement initiatives.
• Design and manage preventative maintenance programs and equipment failure contingency plans.
• Coordinate emergency rehearsals and ensure rapid resolution of breakdowns.
• Collaborate with site leadership, finance, and global engineering to plan future growth, upgrades, and new equipment roll‑outs.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a maintenance or reliability engineering environment.
• Strong focus on safety, statutory compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing headcount and supporting apprenticeship or graduate programs.
