Senior QA Engineer - E-commerce

About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer specialized in e‑commerce to join a fast‑growing team that builds complex, high‑traffic web, API and data‑intensive backend services. The role focuses on delivering reliable, scalable, and high‑performance systems through robust automated testing and early‑stage quality validation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain automated testing frameworks for web applications, APIs, micro‑services and distributed systems.
• Develop API testing strategies using tools such as Postman and PyTest, covering RESTful services and third‑party integrations.
• Validate complex backend workflows, including asynchronous event‑driven pipelines, message brokers, large file uploads and multi‑stage processing.
• Perform functional, integration and exploratory testing across modern and legacy systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product managers using shift‑left testing principles to catch issues early.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test strategies, automation coverage and overall quality engineering practices.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering with a strong focus on automation.
• Hands‑on experience testing distributed systems, micro‑services and event‑driven architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript and solid object‑oriented programming fundamentals.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
