Senior Red Team Security Consultant

About the role

As a Senior Red Team Security Consultant you will join Mandiant’s Red Team Consulting practice to assess and advise clients on technical and process‑based security controls across diverse environments. You will lead adversarial emulation of cyber attacks, conduct red and purple team engagements, and help organisations improve their resilience against advanced threats.

Key responsibilities

• Perform red‑team, purple‑team and assumed‑breach assessments, including ransomware readiness reviews.
• Execute external and internal wireless, web‑application, mobile and embedded‑system security testing.
• Develop and use offensive tools, scripts, and custom exploits to simulate threat‑actor techniques.
• Research emerging offensive tactics, incorporate threat‑intel, and share findings through internal presentations and documentation.
• Collaborate with client and internal teams, travel up to 30% of the time for on‑site engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on pen‑testing and red‑team experience covering network, web, mobile, cloud, or social‑engineering domains.
• Fluent English communication skills and Mexican citizenship.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 % of the time.

Required skills

• Pen‑testing and red‑team methodologies.
• Network, wireless, web‑application, mobile, cloud and social‑engineering testing.
• Scripting and tool development (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Offensive security certifications such as OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, CCSAS, CCT, INF or relevant SANS courses.
• Experience assessing and implementing security controls.
