Senior Software Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join Bosch's Connectivity, Technology, and Innovation team. The role focuses on the full lifecycle of automotive IoT devices, from provisioning and onboarding to cloud communication and operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for automotive IoT platforms.
• Design cloud‑native microservices and serverless workflows on AWS.
• Maintain APIs, integrations, and support components for the telematics platform.
• Implement device onboarding/offboarding pipelines and manage certificates, TPM and secure authentication.
• Integrate embedded Linux devices with AWS IoT Core.
• Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, backend, devices, and connectivity.
• Support observability, monitoring and operational flows for the platform.
• Collaborate with cloud, embedded systems, operations and product teams.

Required profile

• Strong object‑oriented programming background and experience with REST APIs and event‑driven architectures.
• Proficiency with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, IoT Core, CloudWatch, ECS, Kinesis and DynamoDB.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Docker, Git, CI/CD and production observability tools.
• Solid knowledge of Linux (including embedded concepts), MQTT, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Systems‑engineering mindset focused on reliability, ownership and end‑to‑end debugging of distributed systems.
• Advanced English for technical communication with international teams.
