Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

About the role

VTEX is seeking a Senior Front‑End Engineer to design and deliver commerce experiences that serve thousands of stores across 43 countries. You will be the technical reference for your team, shaping front‑end direction and ensuring that the applications you build run reliably 24/7.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of front‑end products from concept to production, collaborating with product managers and designers.
• Build and maintain large‑scale, resilient front‑end applications that operate continuously.
• Define and enforce front‑end quality standards, including architecture, testing strategy, performance, and accessibility.
• Act as a mentor and technical reference, participating in hiring and knowledge sharing.
• Leverage AI tools responsibly to improve development speed and quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and evolving large‑scale, always‑on front‑end applications.
• Strong ability to connect technical decisions with customer and business impact.
• Hands‑on curiosity about AI, LLMs, and automation while understanding their limits and safety considerations.
• Advanced English and Portuguese communication skills.
• Based in any Brazilian city.
