Senior System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to provide technical and Windows administration support for our production environment. You will act as a primary escalation point, ensuring that servers, operating systems, and management components operate reliably for internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Global administration of core Active Directory services, including replication, trusts, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and Group Policy.
• Analyze, document, and monitor infrastructure performance, inter‑process communications, messaging, and middleware.
• Develop hardware/software cost‑of‑ownership models and present findings to management.
• Install, configure, maintain, and support hardware, operating systems, and applications.
• Manage user and printer administration, enforce security policies, and handle system backup and recovery.
• Execute customer change requests and resolve problem tickets outside normal business hours.
• Participate in on‑call duties with 24x7 pager response.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience supporting a large Windows server environment (50+ servers) including Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• Experience with Internet Information Services (IIS), Windows Terminal Services, and preferably SQL Server.
• Hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft technologies and third‑party solutions such as Citrix or VMware ESX.
• Strong background in network infrastructure services (messaging, databases, intranet, internet communications) and server technologies (RAID, clustering, DHCP, DNS, WINS, LDAP).
• Proficiency with PowerShell and .NET, familiarity with monitoring methodologies, and knowledge of ITIL and Microsoft Operations Framework.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
