Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

Invenergy is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to ensure full compliance with Brazilian tax and legal obligations. You will work closely with finance, accounting, treasury, and international teams to manage tax filings, support audits, and drive tax planning initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with all Brazilian tax and legal requirements.
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT, withholding tax, and annual income tax returns.
• Collaborate with accounting to verify purchasing records for accurate tax filings.
• Maintain a tax compliance tracker to monitor deadlines and obligations.
• Review contracts and agreements for proper tax reporting.
• Support the monthly close process and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Assist with annual financial statement audits, preparing workpapers and communicating with auditors.
• Research and analyze current and upcoming tax regulations affecting the business.
• Implement and enhance internal controls related to tax processes.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and International Finance teams at the Chicago office.

Required profile

• Advanced English proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, or Administration.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in consultancy, accounting, tax, or audit.
• Strong ability to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines.
• Excellent coordination and organizational skills.
• Responsible, dependable, and a strong work ethic.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with TOTVS (Protheus) system.
