Senior US Accountant – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Senior US Accountant to join MAVI’s remote finance team. You will act as an extension of high‑growth US tech companies, handling full‑cycle general ledger responsibilities under US GAAP and supporting fast‑paced, project‑driven environments.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end general ledger operations, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Lead month‑end close processes and ensure accurate financial statements.
• Support job costing, project‑based accounting and work‑in‑progress tracking where required.
• Prepare balance‑sheet schedules and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies proactively.
• Collaborate directly with US Controllers, project managers and finance leadership.
• Identify and implement improvements to GL workflows and accounting processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience with strong reconciliation and detail‑oriented problem‑solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage month‑end close and general ledger functions under US GAAP.
• Excellent English communication and ability to work in overlapping US time zones.
• Experience working with remote or distributed finance teams.

Required skills

• ERP experience (NetSuite, Procore, QuickBooks, Sage or similar).
