Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician will support Liberty Puerto Rico by delivering elite field service to cable and network customers. You will respond quickly to inquiries, diagnose issues, and guide users through step‑by‑step solutions while ensuring installations meet company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on CATV distribution systems.
• Assist in training junior technicians and collaborate with other field staff.
• Stabilize and fine‑tune signal levels using equipment such as system sweep generators and field strength meters.
• Execute installation, troubleshooting, and replacement of amplifiers, power supplies, and line extenders.
• Conduct underground and aerial construction tasks, including coaxial cable deployment, pole line work, and vault/pedestal installation.
• Document performance tests, inventory, and vehicle usage; report job completion through the Axis System.
• Climb poles, ladders, or towers and operate bucket trucks as needed, handling loads up to 75 lb.

Required profile

• Experience with CATV or telecom field service and network problem resolution.
• Ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and operate company vehicles daily.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable attendance for on‑site assignments.
