Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician supports Liberty Business Services by delivering high‑quality cable and network services to both new and existing customers. You will diagnose technical issues, perform installations, and ensure that all work meets company standards for performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve technical and network problems on‑site.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on CATV distribution systems.
• Install, test, and adjust coaxial cable, tap‑off devices, amplifiers, and line extenders.
• Use field strength meters, TDR fault locators, and CLI tools to diagnose signal levels and equipment faults.
• Climb poles, ladders, or use bucket trucks to place or retrieve equipment, handling loads up to 75 lb.
• Maintain accurate records of performance tests, inventory, and vehicle usage.
• Collaborate with other technicians and assist in training new staff.

Required profile

• Physical ability to work at heights and lift moderate loads.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
