Smart Manufacturing Engineer – MES & MACH2 Lead

About the role

The Smart Manufacturing Engineer will design, deploy and evolve digital solutions across BIC’s manufacturing network. Based in the LAM region, you will enable plants to adopt smart technologies, unlock data insights and continuously improve MES and MACH2 platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead MES rollout and support for LAM/NAM sites, coordinating with plant teams and central Smart Manufacturing.
• Map and analyse manufacturing processes, translating them into MES configurations.
• Troubleshoot high‑level MES issues and liaise with PLEX technical teams.
• Develop, test and deploy new MES modules and local adaptations.
• Document workflows, tools and training materials; coach local MES champions.
• Own the global MACH2 platform – versioning, template development, upgrades and cross‑site testing.
• Coordinate with MACH2 plant champions worldwide to maintain and improve applications.
• Support shop‑floor data collection architecture and standardise core KPI definitions.
• Define plant dashboard frameworks and assist in pilot dashboard rollouts.
• Act as liaison between LAM/NAM plants and the central Smart Manufacturing team.

• MES implementation experience (PLEX).
• Proficiency with the MACH2 platform and version control.
• Data analytics and KPI standardisation.
• Dashboard development and deployment.
• Understanding of shop‑floor data collection architecture.
