Smart Manufacturing Specialist

About the role

Join BIC World’s Smart Manufacturing team to drive digital transformation across our global production network. Based in Latin America, you will lead MES deployments, manage the MACH2 platform, and enable data‑driven improvements in our plants.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support MES rollout activities for LAM and NAM sites, coordinating with plant teams and central Smart Manufacturing.
• Map manufacturing processes, translate them into MES configurations, and troubleshoot high‑level MES issues.
• Serve as the primary global contact for the MACH2 platform, handling versioning, template development, upgrades, and cross‑site testing.
• Collaborate with plant champions worldwide to deploy, maintain, and enhance MACH2 applications.
• Define and govern shop‑floor data collection architecture, standardize core KPI definitions, and contribute to plant dashboard frameworks.
• Liaise between local plants and the central Smart Operations team to align on roadmap priorities and resolve constraints.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with a problem‑solving mindset and ability to work hands‑on in manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to coach local MES champions and coordinate globally.

Required skills

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) deployment and support.
• Knowledge of PLEX MES platform.
• Proficiency with the MACH2 platform, including version control and template creation.
• Data analytics and dashboard development capabilities.
• Understanding of shop‑floor data collection architecture and KPI standardization.
