Software Engineer, Backend – Core/API & Process Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance the core systems that power next‑generation business process automation. The role focuses on event‑driven architectures, API design, and high‑performance distributed workflows used by thousands of organizations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve backend features within event‑sourced workflow engines and APIs supporting enterprise automation.
• Design clean, reliable APIs with attention to developer experience, scalability, and backward compatibility.
• Address distributed‑system challenges such as event sourcing, CQRS, concurrency, ordering, and reliability.
• Identify and optimize inefficient processing patterns across multiple storage technologies.
• Implement observability capabilities including logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring.
• Contribute to innovative automation features that enable intelligent agents to interact with business processes.
• Maintain high engineering standards through code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in production support and on‑call responsibilities as experience grows.

Required profile
