About the role

Housecall Pro is looking for a Software Engineer II to help build and improve the product used daily by thousands of home‑service professionals. You will work on a fast‑moving team, delivering incremental features while keeping a strong focus on quality, performance, and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test new features across the application stack.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to translate customer problems into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Deploy small, incremental improvements to production with confidence.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflow enhancements and automated testing practices.
• Identify and reduce friction in local development, debugging, and deployment processes.
