Sr Buyer

About the role

The Senior Buyer will manage general procurement processes, creating value for the business while ensuring compliance with environmental and corporate standards. This role involves evaluating supplier technical data, maintaining proper documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Scout, develop and qualify suppliers in line with local procedures and group policy.
• Analyze market suppliers, raw‑material impacts and cost elements for each category and country.
• Conduct bid and vendor selection processes, ensuring optimal cost, quality, service and warranty.
• Negotiate contracts, monitor results (price increase, cost saving, cost avoidance, cash impact) and close negotiations.
• Lead contract creation together with legal and internal stakeholders.
• Manage supplier claims and escalation flows when necessary.
• Evaluate supplier performance using KPIs and involve internal clients.
• Monitor purchase request material groups and KPI compliance, taking timely corrective actions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to close purchase orders and reduce invoice‑before‑PO volume.

Required profile

• Proven experience in general procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of local and regional supplier markets and cost structures.
• Ability to ensure qualification processes meet group policies and requirements.
• Experience in bid selection, vendor negotiation and contract management.
• Capability to manage claims, escalations and supplier performance evaluations.
• Analytical mindset with focus on KPI monitoring and continuous improvement.
