Staff Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end and year‑end accounting close, prepare and post journal entries, and deliver financial reports on time.
• Assist with monthly financial results consolidation.
• Support statutory audits and preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Act as system administrator for accounting platforms: manage user access, import and maintain exchange rates, open/close accounting periods, and support system configuration changes.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and account analyses for close and audit processes.
• Perform monthly and quarterly SOX controls.
• Calculate provisions, asset and expense accounting.
• Assist audit requests and ad‑hoc finance/accounting projects.
• Drive process improvements and automation opportunities in corporate accounting.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting.
• Relevant work experience in accounting.
• Active registration with the Brazilian Accounting Council (CRC).
• Fluent English.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with SOX compliance.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 or similar ERP.
• Microsoft 365.
