Supplier Quality Engineer – Composites (Wind Turbine)

About the role

We are a global renewable energy technology company expanding our manufacturing and supplier quality footprint in Brazil. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will focus on composite components for wind turbines, working directly with strategic blade, nacelle, and hub‑cover suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification, audits, capability assessments and development initiatives.
• Evaluate manufacturing readiness, process robustness and support new product introductions.
• Drive containment, corrective actions and continuous improvement plans.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, audits and structured quality reviews.
• Conduct root‑cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA and fault‑tree analysis.
• Support PPAP, FAI and process capability reviews; review control plans, inspection criteria and test documentation.
• Oversee composite manufacturing processes such as vacuum‑assisted resin infusion, hand lay‑up, curing, filament winding, structural bonding and surface finishing.
• Assess material traceability, defect‑prevention systems and inspection robustness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in composite manufacturing and supplier quality management.
• Strong technical capability and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically across South and Southeast Brazil.
