Systems Engineer II – Remote (12-month contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer II to join our remote team for a 12‑month engagement. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining core infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments while driving automation and security improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, design and maintain enterprise systems and server infrastructure.
• Automate deployments and configuration using PowerShell, Terraform and Ansible.
• Manage VMware vSphere and Horizon environments, as well as Windows Server 2019/2022, Windows 11 and Linux servers.
• Support system upgrades, migrations and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve incidents and implement changes.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and support compliance initiatives.
• Provide escalation support and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience managing and developing core infrastructure.
• Strong background with VMware vSphere, Horizon, Windows and Linux servers, and server hardware.
• Proven expertise in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with cloud services and SSO/MFA solutions such as Okta, Microsoft Authenticator and Duo.
• Solid knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD.
