Tax Analyst – Brazil

About the role

Viridien is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Tax Analyst to support its tax activities in Brazil. The role combines technical tax expertise with continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration, contributing to the implementation of the Brazilian Tax Reform.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review calculations of corporate income tax (IRPJ/CSLL), PIS/COFINS, ISS, import taxes and withholding taxes in line with Brazilian legislation.
• Review and validate monthly and annual tax returns and ancillary obligations, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
• Support the implementation of the Brazilian Tax Reform, including impact assessment, process updates, system testing and business readiness.
• Review commercial and intercompany agreements from a tax perspective, identifying risks and providing recommendations.
• Prepare tax reconciliations, analyses and internal reports for management and finance.
• Assist tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities, coordinating with external advisors as needed.
• Participate in tax system implementations, enhancements, testing and process automation initiatives.
• Maintain tax procedures, controls and documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or law.
• At least 5 years of experience in Brazilian corporate tax.
• Solid understanding of Brazilian direct and indirect taxes and compliance requirements.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tools (plus).
