Tax Analyst – US Tax Compliance (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Analyst to own complex U.S. tax compliance and advisory activities in a fast‑growing, remote‑first environment. You will ensure full compliance across federal, state, and local tax obligations while supporting strategic tax planning that drives business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance, including corporate income, sales, and payroll taxes.
• Lead tax planning initiatives to optimise the organisation’s tax position.
• Provide technical tax guidance on business decisions, transactions, and corporate structures.
• Manage the tax provision process (ASC 740) and support external audit activities.
• Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation and assess business impact.
• Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
• Support tax audits, notices, and regulatory inquiries.
• Partner with finance and legal teams on M&A, restructuring, and strategic initiatives.
• Mentor and support junior tax team members when applicable.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Proven experience in tax compliance and planning within corporate or public‑accounting environments.
• Hands‑on experience with ASC 740 tax provision and reporting.
• CPA certification required; advanced taxation qualification preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Prior experience working remotely with U.S.‑based companies.
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
• Analytical, research‑oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
