Trade Operations Supervisor – Import & Export

About the role

The Trade Operations Supervisor – Import & Export will lead day‑to‑day import and export activities for Johnson & Johnson in São José dos Campos. This hybrid position requires on‑site presence at least twice a week and focuses on ensuring compliance, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction across international trade processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor daily import and export operations, resolving issues promptly and managing customer concerns.
• Build stakeholder trust through transparent communication and reliable delivery.
• Manage performance of contracted 4PL providers and customs brokers, aligning them with business goals.
• Lead Lean continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service performance.
• Develop and implement compliant processes and procedures for all import and export activities.
• Support management of international trade agreement programs.
• Collaborate with GTC, Planning, Regulatory Affairs, Warehouse and other functions to design robust end‑to‑end processes.
• Serve as primary contact for customs audits and compliance initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with government regulations for imported goods.
• Develop internal control measures and reporting mechanisms.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulations affecting operations.
• Lead international transportation service policies, standards, guidelines, technologies, and procedures.
• Shape and execute trade processes to achieve cost‑saving targets.
• Act as key interface with customs authorities and regulatory bodies.
